Update Instructions

Improved

• Admin Notifications - Administrators are now proactively alerted to incomplete or misconfigured settings that could prevent Plauti Deduplicate from working correctly. A new Required Actions page displays configuration warnings for both global settings (like Dataverse Search status and solution version) and per-entity settings (such as missing active features or failed setup processes).

Fixed

• Automerge - If an automerge process encounters a problem, it now fails gracefully.
• Duplicate Prevention - In some cases, scenarios set to disregard empty values could cause an error when creating or updating records.

• Duplicate Prevention - Override the insert block for certain users. Some users should always be able to create records, even if you have blocked creating records when duplicates are found. A new setting lets you configure an override for specific users. Read more here.
• Admin Permissions - The Plauti Deduplicate Admin role now has Read access to the Solution History entity.

Fixed

• Plauti Cloud - In some cases it was not possible to log into Plauti Cloud with a Microsoft account.

• Processing Duplicates - Discard false positive matches that were found in DC Job or DC Live more permanently, so that they will not be show again as duplicates of each other in future searches. If they were discarded incorrectly they can be retrieved again.

New

• Direct Processing - In addition to scanning incoming records from integrations (such as web‑to‑lead forms, Power Automate flows, partner uploads, or bulk imports) for duplicates and adding them to a job for review, Direct Processing lets you merge such duplicates automatically.
  When an incoming record’s match score meets or exceeds a predefined threshold (for example, 99 %), Plauti Deduplicate automatically merges it using the existing merge settings, without the need for any human interference.

• Merge Rules - The Master Record Rules and Field Rules, for determining which record or field value should be kept at merge, have been expanded with additional rule options such as ‘the most complete record’, ‘the longest field text’, and more.
  In addition, instead of choosing one value to keep, you can also combine all values, for example by recording the sum or average of all values of a certain field in the remaining record.
  Furthermore, you can now set fallback rules in case a rule returns more than one possible winner.

Improved

• Audit Logs - After merging or converting a Lead, the Audit Log now displays the Lead’s full name instead of its Topic.

• Audit Log - Keep track of all merges and converts in Plauti Deduplicate by enabling the Audit Log. Ensure compliance with audit regulations, and traceability for your own processes.

• Finding Duplicates - Cross-Entity search is now available for API Inserts as well.

New

• Processing Duplicates - Qualify Leads with the new Convert feature. Similar to merging records, convert Leads into existing duplicate Contacts, or add as a new Contact to a matching Account. Create an Opportunity straight away in the same process.
  Use Convert right after you found duplicates across entities with a Cross Entity search, e.g. when creating a Lead, or with a Deduplicate Job.
• DC Local - To improve user experience, maintenance, and feature consistency, DC Local and DC Local Server has been replaced by two new apps: Plauti Desktop and Plauti Server.
  Not only will these apps be more intuitive to use, they will also contain new features. In addition to quickly running Deduplicate jobs on your local machine as you are already used to, you will be able to import data into your Dynamics environment, and connect to multiple Dynamics environments and Salesforce Orgs. More features will be added in the future. Find out more here.

Improved

• Finding Duplicates - Find duplicates across entities in batch with Cross Entity for Deduplicate Jobs.
  Duplicates can exist across entities. For example, a Lead may already exist as a Contact or be associated with an existing Account. Prevent redundancy in outreach efforts and cluttered databases by detecting such duplicates in small or large batch jobs.
  For now, Cross Entity is available for searches that compare Leads with Contacts or Accounts. In the near future you will be able to search across more entities.

New

• Duplicate Prevention - Search across Entities for potential duplicates. When creating or updating a Lead record, Plauti Deduplicate can check whether the Lead already exists as a Contact or Account. Read more in Cross Entity Search‍.

• In order for this version to work correctly, make sure to check if you need to re-publish your entity settings (check for each entity).

New

• Duplicate Detection for API - Automatically detect potential duplicate records during API inserts by comparing them against existing records in the database based on predefined scenarios. When matches exceed the specified threshold, the records are gathered in a DC Job for review.

• Matching Methods - Use the new fuzzy “Person Name” matching method to compare person names. It combines comparison results with the Levenshtein distance, and returns the average score of these. This method is recommended for matching person names that may have slight variations.

Improved

• DC Job - Improvements were made in displaying DC Job metadata.
• Search Index - Index jobs can now run on Plauti Cloud as well.

Update Instructions

This new release of Duplicate Check introduces Search Indexes, which will optimize the duplicate finding process. In order for search indexes to work correctly, some changes need to be made both in your Dynamics environments and in Duplicate Check itself.
In the environments where you are using Duplicate Check:

• Enable Dataverse Search
• Configure the Quick Find view of the DC Record Index table
• Mark the DC Record Index table as searchable for Dataverse Search
  In Duplicate Check:
• Enable creating search indexes for newly created or updated records
• Create search indexes for existing records:
• Create search index jobs in Duplicate Check, and
• Run these jobs in DC Local
  Make sure to first make the environment changes, and only then the Duplicate Check changes.

New

• Search Index - Create and manage search indexes to optimize Duplicate Check for finding duplicates. A search index will automatically be created on insert and update for every record in the database, to ensure rapid, precise and fuzzy search results. View the index status for each entity, and recreate with a batch job if needed. Read more here.

Improved

• DC Job - When running a DC Job to find duplicates, choose to compare all records or a subset of records, with all records or a subset of records. For example, compare only the records that were created today against the entire database, or compare records owned by user X with the records owned by user Y.
• DC Settings - Set the number of jobs to be displayed on the DC Jobs page.
• DC Settings - Set the time between status updates on the DC Jobs page.
• General - Pages are updated and displayed quicker now.

Update Instructions

Check the default settings for the new 'Disabled Records' setting, and update to match your processes where needed. This setting defines which records are regarded as disabled in your environment.

1. In Duplicate Check, go to Manage Entities
2. At an entity, click Manage and open tab <Entity> Settings
3. Find the Disabled Records setting
4. Check the default values, and update where needed.
5. Publish the changes and repeat for the other entities.

Improved

• Finding Duplicates - Duplicate Check only marks active records as duplicates when searching for duplicates. Define for each entity which records are regarded as disabled in your environment. All other records will be included.

To make use of new features in R7 such as Auto Merge (see below), please update to the latest version of DC Local. Find your DC Local edition (for Mac or Windows) here.

• DC Merge - Upon merge, all users and teams with access to the master or the losing records (as specified in the "Shared With" field) will retain access to the resulting record.

New

• DC Merge - After running a DC Job, automatically merge duplicates found in the job according to set criteria, with the new Auto Merge feature. Read more here.
• DC Merge - On the new Merge Settings tab, define a default rule for selecting what will be the Master record, and default rules per field for selecting which value will be preserved on the Master record at merge. Read more here.

Improved

• Duplicate Prevention - When saving an existing record, decide whether a search for duplicate records should be initiated only if scenario fields were updated, or any field on the record. Define this in the Feature Activation settings.
• General - Discover Data Flows, Plauti’s new import feature for Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. In Plauti Cloud, in the Data Importer menu, create Data Flows to process data in bulk. Import CSV or Excel files of any size into a Salesforce or Dynamics environment, with support for any Object or Entity type, and handy features like previous mapping memory. Perfect for data migration projects. Read more here.
  For now you can only insert data as new records into a Dynamics or Salesforce environment, but in the future updating, exporting and other data processing options will be available.

• DC Merge – Decide to disable losing records upon merge, instead of deleting them altogether. Read more.
• General - The app’s uninstall process has been improved.

• DC Job - Add a filter to a Duplicate Check job, to run the job on a subset of records.

Fixed

• DC Job - Sometimes additional, nameless dummy jobs were created that could not be processed. This did not interfere with running the actual job.

• DC Merge - A user’s security role is now taken into account for merging. If a user has no merge permission in their security role, the Merge button is not shown when duplicates are found.

Fixed

• DC Job - If the licensed record limit is reached, the records with the oldest created date are processed instead of randomly selected records.

New

• DC Job - Search for duplicates in bulk with DC Job. Run a batch search for duplicates on Plauti Cloud‍ or DC Local‍ and view the results in your Dynamics 365 environment. Read more here.‍
• DC Merge - Did you encounter a duplicate when processing a record, or found a number of duplicates with a DC Job? Merge them into one record, up to 15 records at a time. Choose which values to keep, and get rid of duplicate data. Read more here.‍
• DC Live - Find duplicate records when opening a record. With this setting enabled, DC will check for duplicates when opening an existing record. If duplicates of the record are found, merge them right away on the "Duplicates Found” tab. Read more here.
• License - Find all your license information on the new License page. View your licensed features, record limit, renewal date and more. Read more here.

• Matching Methods - When searching for duplicates with a DC Job, use the Fuzzy matching method to find duplicates even though they contain typing errors. Read more here.‍
