Using Macros to Run Actions Consistently

Use Macros to run predefined, reusable action configurations quickly and consistently across users.

If you find yourself running the same Plauti Manipulate action over and over with the same field values, a Macro can save you the repeat setup. A Macro is a predefined version of an action, for example a Mass Update that only updates two specific fields with fixed values, that you or other users can run directly from a List View, a Job, or a Flow, without reconfiguring anything each time. Macro access is assigned by profile independently from the underlying action, so you can give a user access to a restricted Macro (e.g., update just two fields) while keeping the full action locked down.

Once created, a Macro's configuration can't be changed by the user running it. Only an admin can edit it in the Action Library. This makes Macros useful not just for saving time, but also for controlling exactly what end users are allowed to do with an action.
