Duplicate Check employs a number of custom objects for its day-to-day use. If you are wondering what these objects do, and whether you can do without them as a means to save space, read on below.

This object stores logs about Duplicate Check for the DC Analytics screen.

Do not delete this object. It doesn’t take a lot of storage space, only 2kb per day.

Duplicate Check Audit

Depending on your archival needs you can delete the records in this object that are older than an x number of years.

Duplicate Check Duplicate

This object stores the duplicate pair information found in DC jobs.

If you were to delete this object, you would lose the duplicates found in DC jobs. Instead, it's best to delete unused DC jobs.

Duplicate Check Group

Duplicate Check Index

This object stores the search index for a record. The Duplicate Check Index object is needed for finding duplicate records. Each record that is indexed here takes 2kb of storage space.

Instead of in this Index object, you can also store the index on the object record itself, in order to save space. Read more about switching to saving the index on the object itself in Search Index‍.

Duplicate Check Job

This object stores the job information of DC jobs.

If you were to delete this, you would lose the duplicates found in DC jobs. Instead, it's best to delete unused DC jobs.

Duplicate Check Queue

This object makes sure that records get an index. It holds the records that have yet to be indexed, and should be empty most of the time.

Duplicate Check Temp File

This object stores information about how the product is used (no user details). There should not be a lot of records in here.

If you want, you can delete it via DC Setup > Settings > General - Delete Temp File: click Start Delete Job. Read more in General Settings‍.
