If you have the Plauti Business or Enterprise license, you need to create or search indexes for your records, or keep them up-to-date, to ensure finding duplicates will work smoothly and correctly. Find out below how to do this.

Prerequisites
- You have installed Plauti Desktop or Plauti Server, or joined a Team in Plauti Cloud .
- You have enabled Dataverse Search
- You have configured the Quick Find view of the DC Record Index table
- You have marked the DC Record Index table as searchable for Dataverse Search
This should be configured before proceeding with the steps below. Read more in Configure your D365 environments and apps for Plauti Deduplicate.
1. Start a Search Index create or update job in Dynamics
- In Dynamics, in the Duplicate Check app, go to Search Index at left.
- Find the Entity you want to create or update the index for.
- At right, click Start Index Creation
. - Confirm to run the Index Job in Plauti Desktop/Server or Plauti Cloud.
In the search index overview, the Status will change to “Waiting to start”.

Your Index create or update job is now queued in Plauti Desktop or Server, or Plauti Cloud.
2. Start the job in Plauti Cloud, Desktop, or Server
- Open the Plauti Desktop or Plauti Server app, or log into Plauti Cloud.
- At left, go to Plauti Deduplicate > Jobs.
- Find the Search Index job you just created on tab ‘Pending and running jobs’. It is labeled ‘Index Job’
.
Click Start Job. - Check the job details and click Start.
The Plauti App will now create the Search Index for your Object and send it back to your MS Dynamics environment. You can monitor progress in both the Plauti App (Cloud, Desktop or Server), and in Plauti Deduplicate in MS Dynamics, in the Search Index section where you started the job.
When the Search Index Job is finished, its Status will state ‘Completed’ or ‘Finished’. In Plauti Deduplicate, its Index Status will change to “Index Up To Date”

Troubleshooting
- If you don't see the Search Index Job in the Jobs list:
- Click Refresh Jobs
and wait a few seconds. - At bottom left, click Connections
. Check that there is a Connection present for the Env where you started the Search Index Job, and that it is Active.
- Click Refresh Jobs
- If the Search Index Job keeps displaying ‘Waiting to start’ or ‘Holding’, you need to start it in Plauti Cloud, Desktop, or Server.
