We are looking for a talented Customer Renewals & Expansion Manager SMB for our location in downtown Arnhem. Plauti builds data management software for the Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365 platforms that is used by organizations like Sony, EF Education First, Stanford University and the United Nations. Plauti is growing fast, with currently around 50 employees, and expanding to new ecosystems and locations.

This position is part of the Commercial / Customer Growth motion and sits close to Customer Success and Sales. The team helps our customers get continuous value from our solutions and ensures their contracts are renewed on time, with the right setup and the right product mix. You will own a portfolio of Small & Mid-sized Business (SMB) customers and be responsible for the full renewals and expansion cycle for these accounts.

You will work individually with your own group of customers (renewals, license changes, expansions) as well as on projects that improve how we do renewals and expansion at scale (for example, improving email flows, playbooks, and processes). Your work will be a mix of relationship management, commercial ownership of the renewal, and a structured, data-driven way of working.

This role has a clear commercial component (renewals and expansion), but is focused on long‑term value, retention and healthy growth of our SMB customers, not on hard selling. You will work closely with Account Managers and Customer Success for larger or more complex commercial opportunities.

You will join a small, ambitious commercial team that focuses on growing and retaining our existing customer base. You have clear ownership over the SMB segment and a lot of freedom in how you organize your work: from how you structure your portfolio and follow‑up cadence, to how you shape our standard renewal and expansion processes.

It’s a hybrid role where we expect you to join everyone at the office a few times per week; however, most team members come more days just because the atmosphere is so good. We value a good work-life balance, so there is also time for a little talk or a video game in our game room.

What we expect

  • Experience in building and maintaining commercial relationships, preferably with SMB customers.
  • Previous experience in SaaS renewals, account management, inside sales or a similar commercial role is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable having structured commercial conversations about contract terms, pricing and product options.
  • Technical savvy: you’re a fast learner in complex software environments (Salesforce / Dynamics or similar is a plus).
  • You are deeply self motivated and can work independently, coordinating activities across many customers at once.
  • Strong organizational skills: able to prioritize in a high volume environment and keep a tight handle on deadlines.

In this role, you’ll own a defined portfolio of SMB customers and make sure renewals feel proactive, smooth, and value-driven rather than transactional.

You stay close to your customer base by keeping a sharp eye on upcoming renewal moments well ahead of time, making sure conversations around contract terms, license usage, editions, and pricing happen early and thoughtfully. You know how to guide customers through those moments in a way that feels consultative, while also staying commercially focused on securing timely renewals.

Beyond the renewal itself, you naturally spot opportunities to grow accounts further. Whether that means additional licenses, moving customers into a higher edition, or introducing add-on products that better fit their evolving needs, you know how to turn customer context into meaningful expansion opportunities.

You’ll work closely with Customer Success and Account Managers whenever larger or more strategic opportunities emerge from your portfolio, ensuring customers get the right support while the business captures growth potential.

A big part of your impact also sits in the operational side of the role: keeping your renewal and expansion pipeline accurate, maintaining clean CRM data, building reliable forecasts, and spotting churn or contraction risks early through customer behavior, feedback, or support signals.

At the same time, this role offers plenty of room to help shape how we scale. You’ll contribute to improving our renewals and expansion playbooks, email flows, templates, and automation so we can build an SMB motion that is efficient, scalable, and truly customer-friendly.
