Audit Logs

The Audit Logs feature is available in the Plauti Deduplicate Enterprise edition.

 

Track and store detailed logs of record merges and converts, including all relevant changes for auditing and compliance purposes. 

Prerequisites

  • You have the Plauti Deduplicate Admin role or are a System Administrator.

Activating the Audit Logs

To start logging record merges and converts:

  1. In Plauti Deduplicate, at left, go to Settings.
  2. Toggle the Enable Audit Logs setting to ‘Activated’.
  3. Click Save.

All record merges and converts done in Plauti Deduplicate will now be logged in the Audit Logs.

Reviewing the Audit Logs

To view the Audit Logs:

  1. In Plauti Deduplicate, at left, go to Audit Logs .
  2. At top right, click Refresh to update the Audit Log with the latest entries.

For each entry, details are displayed such as Type (Merge or Convert), Method (e.g. manual merge via a job, manual convert via a record page, etc), and the records involved.

Click on a column header to sort the Audit Logs records by that column.

Deleting Old Log Records

Old Audit Log records that aren't needed anymore can be deleted in batch. Do note that once deleted, Audit Log records cannot be recovered anymore.

To delete old Audit Log records:

  1. In Plauti Deduplicate, at left, go to Audit Logs.
  2. At top right, click Delete Audit Log Records.
  3. In the ‘Delete Audit Log Records’ pop-up, select a date. By default the date is set to one year ago.
    All Audit Log records created on or before this date will be deleted.
  4. Click OK, and again in the confirmation window.
  5. Click Refresh to update the Audit Log.

Deactivating the Audit Logs

When you deactivate the Audit Logs, no new log entries will be added, but existing Audit Log records will stay available.

To stop logging record merges and converts:

  1. In Plauti Deduplicate, at left, go to Settings.
  2. Toggle the Enable Audit Logs setting to ‘Deactivated’.
  3. Click Save.

The Audit Log will now indicate that it is disabled, but earlier Audit Log entries can still be viewed.
