Manage general Plauti Restore settings in Settings.

Accessing the Settings

To access Plauti Restore's settings:

  1. In Plauti Restore, go to tab Restore Setup
  2. At left, click Settings

Editing and Deploying Settings

When you make changes to the Restore Settings, they will not take effect immediately. Instead a draft is created, that you can deploy right away or at a later point. Changes to both the Settings and the Object Configuration are combined in such a draft.

  1. Click Edit in Settings or Object Configuration.
  2. Make your changes to the settings.
  3. Click Save to save your changes.
A draft is created for your changes.
  4. Click Deploy Settings to deploy the settings.
A banner appears stating that settings deployment is in progress.
  5. In the Setting Deployments section at the bottom of the page, the deployment appears.
    • At Deployment Status you can check whether deployment succeeded, failed, or is still in progress.

Retention

For Plauti Restore to be able to revert any changes made, they need to have been tracked first. In the Retention section, define how many changes you want to keep track of at maximum, and for how long you want to retain the tracked changes. When one of these two limits is reached, the oldest changes will be cleared and cannot be restored anymore.

Note that for merges and deletions, the Salesforce Recycle Bin comes into play as well. Merges and deletions can only be reverted as long as the affected record is still present in the Salesforce Recycle Bin. The retention settings described below cannot extend the retention limits of the Salesforce Recycle Bin.
Read more in Plauti Restore and the Salesforce Recyle Bin.

Click Edit at right to adjust the retention settings. Don't forget to Save them as well.

Maximum Number of Changes stored The maximum number of changes you want to keep track of. When the maximum is reached, tracked data for the oldest changes will be automatically deleted.
Retention period of Changes in days The number of days you want to retain data about changes made. Data older than the set period will be automatically deleted to ensure efficient storage use.

Maintenance

Purge Restore Changes If needed, you can delete all tracked changes here in one go. After purging they will no longer be available for restoring.
Click Purge Restore Changes    to delete all record change data that was stored for potential restoration.
Reset Restore Changes Cleanup Job

If there are more changes stored than the maximum you set, and Plauti Restore does not appear to clear them, click Reset

to get the cleaning process running again.
