Configuring Plauti Restore

Last published at: December 12th, 2025

This article explains about the settings within Plauti Restore itself, on the Restore Setup page. For information about setting up Plauti Restore in Salesforce, see Installing Plauti Restore.

After installing Plauti Restore, configure the different Plauti Restore features. We recommend doing this before granting your users app access.

Prerequisites

  • If you are not a System Administrator, you need to have the Restore Admin permission set.
  • To deploy setting changes, you need to have the ‘Modify Metadata Through Metadata API Functions’ system permission.

Accessing Restore Setup

Plauti Restore is configured on the Restore Setup page. To open Restore Setup:

  1. In your Salesforce Org, go to the App Launcher and open the Plauti Restore app

  2. In the Plauti Restore app, go to tab Restore Setup

The page opens at the Restore Setup Home. Here you see at left:

At right, the Restore Setup Home displays the current settings. When you make any changes to the Settings or Object Configuration, they are summarized here where you can see them all at a glance.

  • Retention Days shows the set number of days changes will be kept, as well as the storage size this is currently taking up.
  • Restore Changes Storage shows the number of different restore changes you are currently keeping track of.
  • Objects Enabled shows the number of Objects you are tracking.
  • Object Information displays more details about the Objects you are tracking, such as which Objects, the tracked Fields, etc.

Editing and Deploying Settings

When you make changes to the Settings or Object Configuration, they will not take effect immediately. Instead a draft is created, that you can deploy right away or at a later point. Changes to both the Settings and the Object Configuration are combined in such a draft.

  1. Click Edit in Settings or Object Configuration.
  2. Make your changes to the settings.
  3. Click Save to save your changes.
A draft is created for your changes.
  4. Click Deploy Settings to deploy the settings.
A banner appears stating that settings deployment is in progress.
  5. In the Setting Deployments section at the bottom of the page, the deployment appears.
    • At Deployment Status you can check whether deployment succeeded, failed, or is still in progress.
