Create and execute Export Data Flows to export your Salesforce or Dynamics data in bulk.

Now available for Salesforce; coming soon for MS Dynamics.

Export data to a .CSV file from your Salesforce Org. Export an entire object or a subset of records, from selected fields including parent fields.

The Data Flow guides you step by step through the importing process.

Prerequisites

  • You have created a Connection to the Org you want to export your data from.
  • The Object to export data from should be searchable (Salesforce: 'Allow Search' enabled).

Save a draft flow

You can pause setting up the Data Flow at any moment by closing the Data Flow window with the cross icon top right and then saving it. It will be saved on the “Drafts” tab for ten days; after that the draft will be deleted.

At each configuration step, click Next  to proceed to the next step.

  1. In Plauti Cloud, Plauti Desktop or Plauti Server, at left, go to Data Flows > Flows.
  2. At top right, click + New Data Flow  .
    A pop-up window appears.
  3. At Flow Type, select 'Export Records'.
  4. At Select a Source, select the Connection to the Org you want to export from.
  5. At Object or Entity, select the Object to export the data from.
  6. At Filter, set up a filter to only export data from certain records (optional). Click 'Add +' to add a filter row or group, and switch between 'AND' and 'OR' to configure filter logic. With a filter group you can create nested filters.
To export an entire Object, do not add any row or group.
With or without a filter set up, click Get Record Count to see how many records are selected with this configuration.
  7. At Export Fields, select the fields you want to export. Click on a chevron at the right of a field to select related fields.
Then click on the Right button to move the field to the Selected Fields column.
Determine the column order in the export file with the up and down buttons at the right of the Selected Fields column.
  8. At Overview, review the export settings. Enter a name for the data flow as well.
If everything is correct, click Start  to start the import.

You are redirected back to the Active & Finished Data Flows tab. Here you can follow the progress of the export.
Once the export has status 'Finished':

  • Click the action menu button next to 'Info' at the right > Download Export Result to download the export file.
  • Click Info or the name of the export to see the details of the export.
