When Plauti Assign cannot assign a record due to all Assignees being unavailable, the record is temporarily 'parked' with the Queue User that is defined on the Match Group page. Plauti Assign then checks every 10 minutes to see if any Assignees have become available again, and if so, automatically assigns the parked record.
Plauti Assign attempts to assign queued records using scheduled jobs. The batch size is the number of queued records per ObjectType, per Job. So if you have Match Groups for Leads and Opportunities, and the batch size is set to 20, it will select the top 20 queued Leads and the top 20 queued Opportunities in a single scheduled job run.
Whether these are the 20 oldest or newest records depends on your set value for ‘Sort Order for Queued Records’ here in the Settings.
Why Should I Change The Batch Size?
Sometimes you need to change how many records Plauti Assign will try to assign at one time via the scheduled jobs. For instance, if you receive many hundreds of leads over the weekend you may want to increase the batch size to 200. Conversely, if you are running High Velocity Sales and you have an automated process adding Leads to a Sales Cadence, you might encounter an error saying you cannot assign more than 20 leads to the Sales Cadence. In that case, you should change the batch size to 20 or lower to work around the limitations of adding multiple records to a Sales Cadence at once.
Changing The Setting
- In Plauti Assign, go to Assign Setup > Settings
- At right, click Configure
- At Batch Size, change the number to the desired value
- Save
