When a record has its value of the Use Plauti Assign field (Use_Round_Robin__c) set to TRUE, it will automatically be picked up by Plauti Assign for processing. When the value is FALSE, it will not be processed until changed to TRUE, either manually or by an automated process. 

Upon installation of Plauti Assign, the default value for the Use Plauti Assign field on Leads is TRUE, and on other Objects FALSE.

Record Types or not

To change the default value, first determine whether your org uses Record Types for the Object you want to edit. 

1. Go to Salesforce Setup > Object Manager > select the Object 
2. At left, click Record Types 

If there is nothing listed there, then you aren't using Record Types for that Object.

Objects with Record Types

Each record type has its own default settings for picklist fields, so you need to set it for all applicable record types.

1. Go to Salesforce Setup > Object Manager > select the Object > Record Types
2. Open a Record Type by clicking its name
3. Next to the ‘Use Plauti Assign’ picklist, click Edit
4. Leave all values in the ‘Selected Values’ column
5. At Default, select the value you want to set as default
6. Click Save
7. Repeat for all relevant Record Types

If you would like to use different default values for one Object, for example to have Plauti Assign only process records entered in a certain way, have the value set to FALSE for the other records.

For example, in your Org the default value for Leads is TRUE, but users are complaining that Leads that they manually enter are being assigned to other members of the team as soon as they hit Save. Then proceed as follows:

1. Add the ‘Use Plauti Assign’ field to the Page Layout of Leads.
2. Instruct the users to set the ‘Use Plauti Assign’ value to FALSE when they are creating a new Lead that they wish to keep ownership of.
