DC Entry tab, VF override no longer supported

DC Entry tab, not DC Entry / Deduplicate Entry replacement page

This article concerns the “DC Entry” tab that can be added to your Salesforce Navigation Bar, and the old Salesforce Classic Visualforce override; not the Deduplicate Entry (previously DC Entry) Lightning Component for the Lightning Experience override that can be set as a replacement Entry page. The latter will continue to exist.

In the Salesforce Navigation Bar you can add a tab called “DC Entry”. This tab opens with all Objects that have Plauti Deduplicate enabled. When clicking such an object, an Entry page opens for that object with the PD features added. It works in the same way as the Plauti Deduplicate Entry replacement page

Because this tab is hardly used compared to the replacement page, and because it is using outdated technology, it will not be supported anymore from Plauti Deduplicate version 2026 R1 Spring Release onward.

This same page was once in use as the Visualforce page for Salesforce Classic override for the New and Edit record buttons. In Lightning, it was possible to still use the Salesforce Classic override for this. This Visualforce page is no longer supported either.

Instead we recommend using the Deduplicate Entry Lightning replacement page. Read more about how to configure this page in How to enable Duplicate prevention upon manual entry in Salesforce Lightning.
