Set up Plauti MCP in other AI apps

Last updated

You can use Plauti MCP with any AI app that supports local (stdio) MCP servers. Set the command to the full path of the Plauti MCP file, and leave the arguments empty.

Cursor

  1. Open the Cursor MCP configuration file in a text editor. If the file does not exist yet, create it.
    • macOS: ~/.cursor/mcp.json
    • Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.cursor\mcp.json
  2. Add Plauti MCP to the file. If the file already has an mcpServers section, add only the plauti-mcp entry inside it.

macOS:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "plauti-mcp": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "/Applications/Plauti Desktop.app/Contents/Resources/mcp/plauti-mcp",
      "args": []
    }
  }
}

Windows: Cursor cuts off a path at the first space. Use the example below exactly as shown, so the full path is passed as one value. Replace <your-user> with your Windows user name.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "plauti-mcp": {
      "type": "stdio",
      "command": "cmd",
      "args": [
        "/c",
        "C:\\Users\\<your-user>\\AppData\\Local\\Programs\\Plauti Desktop\\resources\\mcp\\plauti-mcp.exe"
      ]
    }
  }
}
  1. Save the file.
  2. Open the Cursor settings and check that plauti-mcp is turned on. If you do not see it, restart Cursor.
