Object Configuration
On this page
View and configure metadata analysis settings for each Object. Enable or disable fields and analysis types, define quality scoring, and configure custom analysis settings. These settings will be used when running a Monitor Job for recording in the Monitor Library.
Starting from version 1.6.0, Plauti Context has been renamed to Plauti Monitor.
For each Object, you can set the fields to analyze (e.g. Annual Revenue, Rating, Ownership, etc.), and the different types of analysis you want to run (e.g. Default Value Usage, Fill Rate, Format Pattern Detection, etc.). A number of analysis types have further parameters that you can set per field or per analysis type, such as thresholds or a date input type.
Additionally you can determine the way the quality of your data should be scored.
Each Object that you add comes with default settings that you can then adjust to your needs.
The Object Configurations that you set here will be used when running Configured Monitor Jobs for data analysis to record in the Monitor Library.
Accessing Object Configuration
- In Plauti Monitor, at top, go to the Monitor Setup tab.
- At left, click Object Configuration.
Adding an Object
- In the Object Configuration main window, at top right, click Add Object.
- In the pop-up that appears, select the Object you want to add and click Add.
The Object has been added to the list of Objects. This is confirmed by a green confirmation message.
If you don't see the new object right away, it is still being deployed; wait a moment and refresh the page.
- All Objects, standard or custom, that have ‘Allow Search’ enabled in their Salesforce settings can be added.
- To remove an Object from the list, click ‘Configure’ at its right. There you'll find the Delete button top right.
Configuring an Object
To configure an Object for metadata analysis, click Configure at its line in the Object Configuration overview.
The Configuration page opens. At top right you'll find the following buttons:
| Go Back | Return to the Object Configuration overview. |
| Refresh Metadata | Refresh the metadata after you added or removed a field to the Object, or updated field metadata of the Object. |
| Delete | Remove the Object from the Plauti Monitor Object Configuration. It will be removed from the Monitor Library as well. |
Below, you can configure object-specific analysis settings, such as the Fields to analyze, which Analysis Types to apply, and how the quality should be scored.
Configuring Fields and Analysis Types
In Object Configuration you can configure:
- Which Fields should be analyzed
- Which Analysis Types should be used for analyzing
The Fields and Analysis Types tabs both offer this configuration, just from a different standpoint: decide per Field which Analysis Types and settings should be used, or decide per Analysis Type to which Fields it should be applied and with which settings, or whether it should be used at all.
Changes made on one tab are also reflected on the other tab.
Default settings, if present, are managed via the Analysis Types tab. Default Settings will be applied to all applicable Fields, unless a custom configuration was set for a certain Field on the Fields or Analysis Types tabs.
