Quality Score

Quality Score builds on the analysis types you've already configured for an Object (such as Fill Rate, Negative Value Analysis, etc.) and combines their results into one quality score per record, from 1 to 100. Decide how much each field contributes to that score, and how much each analysis type contributes to a given field. The result is a quick, trackable indicator of data health, that is shown in the Monitor Library, can be displayed on a record page, or sent as a PDF report, without needing to open a full Monitor Job Results view for every analysis. Quality Score is configured per Object, on the Quality Score tab of that Object's Plauti Monitor configuration.

Prerequisites

• An Object needs at least one applicable analysis type already configured and active. Quality Score scores your existing analysis results; it does not run new checks of its own.
• To be able to configure Quality Scoring, you need the Plauti Monitor Admin permission set assigned. Users with the User permission set will only have read access to the Quality Score settings.

Applicable Analysis Types

Quality Scoring is applied to those analysis types that produce a result for each individual record, since the score is calculated per record and then rolled up to field and object level. Analysis types such as Fill Rate, Default Value Usage, Negative Value Analysis, Future Date Analysis, and Date Range Analysis qualify because each one evaluates a single record's value directly.

Aggregate or distribution-based analysis types, such as Value Distribution, Standard Deviation Analysis, Uniqueness Detection, and Character Length Distribution, describe patterns across the whole dataset rather than a single record, so they cannot contribute to the Quality Score. As a result, only the per-record-eligible analysis types configured for a field will appear when you expand a field in the Quality Score configuration modal. If a field has no per-record-eligible analysis configured, it will not appear in the configuration modal at all.

Configuring Quality Score

1. In Plauti Monitor, go to Monitor Setup > Object Configuration.
2. Click Configure at the Object you want to set up.
3. Open the Quality Score tab.
4. Click Configure to open the "Configure quality score" window. Only fields that have at least one applicable analysis type configured and active appear here.
5. Use the Enabled toggle at the top to turn Quality Scoring on or off for this Object.
6. For each field, set its Field Importance on the 0 to 5 slider. A value of 0 excludes the field from scoring entirely; 1 is low importance, and 5 is high importance.
7. Click the chevron at the left of a field to expand it, then set Analysis Importance for each analysis type of that field. This controls how much each analysis (for example Fill Rate versus Negative Value Analysis) contributes to that specific field's score.
8. Click Save.

If you set a field's Field Importance above 0 but leave every one of its Analysis Importance values at 0, the window shows a warning and disables Save. Either raise at least one analysis weight for that field, or set the field's own importance back to 0.

Weight changes do not recalculate existing scores right away. After saving, a banner confirms that scores will reflect the new weights only after the next Configured Monitor Job runs; go to the Scheduled Analysis tab or Home menu option to run it right away, or wait for the next scheduled job to run.

Displaying Quality Score on record pages

Next to the Quality Trends tab in the Monitor Library, the Quality Score can also be shown directly on individual records. That way users can see record-level data quality information without opening Plauti Monitor. The Record Quality Score displays at each record its scoring, date of scoring, and suggestions for improvement.

To display the Quality Score on records, add the Quality Score Lightning component to the record page layout in the Lightning App Builder.

To add the Quality Score Lightning component to a record page:

1. Open a record of the Object where you want to display the component.
2. At top right, click the Setup icon.
3. Click Edit Page.
   The Lightning App Builder opens.
4. On the Components tab at left, scroll down to the Custom - Managed section.
5. Select the Plauti Monitor Data Quality Score component, and drag it onto the page layout.
6. Optionally, add a filter at right to set the component's visibility for only certain records or devices.
7. Save and Activate the page layout.

Enabled versus Disabled

Turning Quality Scoring off for an Object does not stop the analysis job itself. All configured analyses keep running and recording results as usual. Disabling only skips the scoring calculation step: importance weight changes will not take effect, and per-field and per-object quality scores will not update. Turn it back on and run a Configured Job (scheduled or manual) to pick the calculation back up.

Field description credit

A field with a Description filled in on its Salesforce field metadata earns a fixed 10% contribution toward that field's score. This is shown as a green checkmark next to the field name on the Quality Score tab. Filling in descriptions for your most important fields is a quick way to raise their contribution. This is done in Salesforce Setup, in each field's Field Information settings.

Generating Quality Scores

The Quality Score is calculated when a Configured Job runs. Ad Hoc jobs run and return their own analysis results, but as they are not saved in the Monitor Library, they do not feed into the Quality Score.

After a scheduled or manual Configured Job ran, the updated quality scoring is displayed in the Monitor Library, at the Quality Trends tab of each Object.
Furthermore a PDF report containing Quality Score details is sent via email to the user that ran the Configured Job. This PDF report is also available for download in the Monitor Job Overview, via the Job Options menu.
If you added the Plauti Monitor Data Quality Score lightning component to an Object's record page layout, the quality score is shown on that Object's records as well.
