How to set up Web to Lead Duplicate Prevention

The Web to Lead Duplicate Prevention feature is available in the Premium and PDM Editions.

The Web to Lead Duplicate Prevention feature analyses all incoming records for duplicates before their entry in the Salesforce environment. In this article, we are showing how to enable, configure and use Web to Lead.

Step 1 Activating Web to Lead Duplicate Prevention in Salesforce Web to Lead

  1. A specific HTML code needs to be added in your Web to Lead code form to set up the Web to Lead Duplicate Prevention:
<input id="dupcheck__dc3Web2Lead__c" name="dupcheck__dc3Web2Lead__c" type="hidden" value="1" />

By adding the code to your Web to Lead form, your new Leads will be matched against your existing database.
