To comply with privacy regulations, enabling the AI Merge Recommendation and AI Match Recommendation features requires signing a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), ensuring your data is processed lawfully and securely. The Plauti AI Recommendation features can be accessed after the DPA is signed. 

You only need to sign the DPA once. If you have already signed it for enabling one of the AI Recommendation features, you can enable the other feature without needing to sign again. 

Enabling AI Recommendations features

• First toggle the AI Merge Recommendation or AI Match Recommendation setting to sign the DPA; 
• Then, after signing the DPA, toggle the setting again to actually enable it. 
• The other AI Recommendation setting can be enabled without needing to sign again.

To enable the Plauti AI Recommendation features:

1. In Plauti Deduplicate, go to Deduplicate Setup > General Setup: Settings.
2. In the ‘Merge & Convert’ section, toggle AI Merge Recommendation or AI Match Recommendation.
3. In the confirmation window, click Sign Data Processing Agreement.
   The Plauti Data Processing Agreement page opens.
   
   
    
4. Click Log in to Salesforce. Log in using the login data for the Org where you want to use Plauti AI Recommendation.
   Note that for some Sandbox environments you might need to use the “Use Custom Domain” option.
5. When requested by Salesforce, click Allow to allow access.
   You are logged in to the Plauti Data Processing Agreement page.
6. Read the Data Processing Agreement. You can download it for safekeeping as well.
7. Tick
   • “I am authorized to accept the Data Processing Agreement on behalf of my organization”
   • “I agree to the terms of the Data Processing Agreement”
8. Enter your Name and Title.
9. Click Proceed .
   You are returned to your Salesforce Org.
   
   
    
10. Open Deduplicate Setup > General Setup: Settings again.
11. In the ‘Merge & Convert’ section, toggle AI Merge Recommendation or AI Match Recommendation to Active again.
12. If you want, toggle the other AI Recommendation setting to Active as well. This time you do not need to sign the DPA anymore.
13. For all users that need to be able to use AI Merge Recommendation when manually merging records, make sure they either have the Deduplicate Permission Set, or apex class ‘dc3SecureRedirectController’ added to their profile.
14. For all users that need to be able to use AI Match Recommendation when reviewing Deduplicate Job results for merging, make sure they either have the Deduplicate Permission Set, or apex class 'dc3DuplicateRecommendationBatch’ added to their profile.

The Plauti AI Recommendation features are now enabled. 

• For AI Merge Recommendation, continue by configuring the Merge Rules. Read more in AI Merge Recommendation.
• AI Match Recommendation is now ready to use straight away. Read more in AI Match Recommendation.

Disabling AI Recommendation

You can disable the AI Recommendation features, which will render the ‘Plauti AI - Merge Recommendation’ button or ‘AI Match Recommendation’ job option grey and unresponsive. Or you can opt to fully remove the features, as well as the settings, from view. 

Disable the button or job option

1. In Plauti Deduplicate, go to Deduplicate Setup > General Setup: Settings.
2. In the ‘Merge & Convert’ section, toggle AI Merge Recommendation or AI Match Recommendation to Inactive.

The ‘Plauti AI - Merge Recommendation’ button in the Manual Merge modal, or the ‘AI Match Recommendation’ job option, is now displayed grey and unresponsive.

Hide the button or job option

1. In Plauti Deduplicate, go to Deduplicate Setup > General Setup: Settings.
2. In the ‘Merge & Convert’ section, toggle Hide AI.

Both the ‘Plauti AI - Merge Recommendation’ button and 'AI Match Recommendation’ job option, as well as their settings in Deduplicate Setup, are now hidden from view.
