Connection is inactive

Questions:

  • The connection to my Salesforce Org or Dynamics 365 environment is set to "inactive", but I didn't deactivate it.
  • All my scheduled jobs for a Salesforce Org or Dynamics 365 environment are set to “Holding”, and the connection is inactive.

Answer:

The most likely cause for Salesforce Production orgs and Dynamics 365 environments is that the connection was deactivated automatically, for example because the access token has expired. Another cause can be that Plauti's Terms of Service have changed, and you need to review them again before you can continue using the Plauti Apps.

In the case of a Salesforce Sandbox, the connection might have been deactivated because the Sandbox was refreshed or deleted. Sandboxes get a new Org ID after a refresh, and therefore need a new connection as well.

To reactivate the connection:

  1. At bottom left, go to Connections.
  2. Open the inactive connection.
  3. At top right, either click Activate or Re-authorize

If there is no Activate or Re-authorize button:

  1. Return to the Connections overview.
  2. Click + New Connection top right to create a new connection.

This will also re-activate any scheduled jobs that were on Holding due to the inactivity, except when it concerns a refreshed Salesforce Sandbox.

If you create a new Connection for your Org or environment, the same settings as for the previous Connection will be used.
This does not apply to Salesforce Sandboxes that have just been refreshed, as those get a new Org ID after a refresh. If you had previously linked Sandboxes to your Salesforce Production license, the new Sandbox connections need to be re-linked to your Production license‍ as well.
