How to enable setting a parent record from a related list in Deduplicate Entry

When using Deduplicate Entry, you can automatically set a parent when creating a new record from a record page layout. For example, automatically set the Account when creating a Contact from a related list. By default, this option is turned off.

Enable setting a parent record from a related list

  1. In Plauti Deduplicate, navigate to Deduplicate Setup.

  2. At left, click Settings.

  3. At the "Duplicate Prevention" tab, switch the toggle at "Prefill parent record if Deduplicate Entry is opened from a record page".

Please note that due to a Lightning limitation, the parent is always set when creating a new record from a record page layout - not only when creating the record from a related list.
