Meet Data Action Platform
We have created Data Action Platform from our own need for a solution to accelerate our speed to lead time and create more segmentation options.
We are importing new leads from events or prospecting tools all the time, and often, they need a little tweaking. It could be ownership assignments, setting some values, or adding tasks for follow-up. And sometimes, we are hitting Salesforce limits and want to delete stale leads. In the past, we had to wait for someone to write a query to perform those changes or do a lot of clicking and scrolling. No more.
We are very proud to introduce Data Action Platform. And not only proud but also very happy with the time we are currently saving getting leads to our sales team.
True to the Plauti philosophy that data hygiene requires action from everyone within an organization, Data Action Platform empowers everyone working with Salesforce with mass actions. And with everyone, we mean end-users (i.e., sales, support, operations, and marketing teams), admins, and developers.
In our first release, users can update, delete, convert, set account hierarchy, assign ownership and create task actions in bulk from a list view and as a job in Salesforce. This release empowers admins, and end-users, placing less burden on Salesforce admins or developers to do one-off data modifications.
Users can select records from a list view (capped at 200 records by Salesforce) and perform an action on those records. Actions from the list view are sufficient for most end-users, but there are many use-cases where you need action on more than 200 records. This release also includes the DAP Job feature. You use filters to define the group of records that you need to change and then choose an action to perform. In the next iteration, you can save the actions you perform often as a macro. A job has no limits on the number of records.
Security
With great power comes great responsibility: Limit the use of specific actions to specific user profiles. Similarly, cap the number of records that can be processed in an action for particular user profiles.
Track all changes made with DAP, including the record, the action, and the user that performed the action.

Actions
In the coming months, we will release more and more actions.
One of the most powerful features will be the ability to run your Flows in bulk. Select a group of records (based on filter criteria), select a Flow, and run that Flow for each selected record.
Access to actions
At Plauti, we believe in close integration with the custom processes of our clients. That’s why all our solutions have not only a graphical Salesforce native UI but also provide an API (or even Apex plugins, Flow actions, and SFDX commands). This will not be different for DAP; we will provide an API for you to integrate with.
Becoming a platform
With the above changes, DAP will transform from a valuable tool into a platform that allows you to quickly create, release and use bulk actions within a secure framework. By using our action access, rights management, and logging, you will save a lot of time on development overhead and make your actions quicker available for yourself or your colleagues.
The actions will reduce lead scrubbing time, save data management time for admins and developers, and improve the conversion rate of your optimized leads.

Other features, as mentioned in this blog article, will be available in paid plans.
