Salesforce Address Data: Informatica vs Plauti

  • Data quality
  • Salesforce

Plauti fits best when Salesforce is your system of record for addresses and you want validation built into standard fields with unlimited seats. Informatica fits best when your address data spans systems beyond Salesforce and you need certified international validation across a broader data stack, even though that means more integration work up front. Checked June 2026, against both vendors' public Salesforce documentation and AppExchange listings.

Salesforce address data has to be right before it reaches a customer's door. Two tools handle this validation for Salesforce orgs: Plauti and Informatica's Address Verification, built on Address Doctor. This comparison looks at how each checks, standardizes, and enriches address data in Salesforce, what they cost, and which one fits which kind of Salesforce team.

Bad address data means failed deliveries, returned mail, and support tickets that didn't need to happen. Catching an address error when a rep types it, before it ever saves to a record, is cheaper than catching it after a shipment bounces back.

Plauti

Plauti validates, standardizes, and enriches address, email, and phone data inside Salesforce. For addresses specifically, it checks entries in real time, offers auto-complete suggestions as reps type, and adds geocoding data to the records it processes.

Features

  • Address standardization and verification: Standardizes, cleans, and formats address data for more than 240 countries and territories.
  • Auto-suggestion: Suggests full addresses as a user types a street name; selecting one auto-fills the remaining fields. Plauti's own figures put the resulting cut in manual entry time at 78%.
  • Geocoding: Adds geocodes to records for more precise location data.
  • Live validation: A Lightning component checks addresses directly on Salesforce record pages.
  • Direct validation on insert: Verifies records automatically when they're created through the API or a bulk upload, so bad addresses don't reach storage in the first place.
  • Transliteration: Converts text into Roman characters from eight scripts: Cyrillic, Hellenic, Hebrew, Kanji, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Thai, and Hangul.

Pros

  • Native Salesforce integration: Maps to standard Salesforce address fields automatically, without middleware.
  • Broad geographic coverage: Covers more than 240 countries and territories.
  • Unlimited seats: No per-user licensing limits who can use it across the org.
  • Fewer bad records at entry: Direct validation and live validation catch address errors before they're saved.

Cons

  • Salesforce-only: Built for Salesforce, so it doesn't help teams whose CRM data lives elsewhere.
  • Credit-based pricing takes explaining: Costs are metered by credits rather than a flat per-seat fee, which needs a quick walkthrough up front.

Pricing

Plauti prices per business, based on data volume and complexity. Contact Plauti for a quote. A free trial includes 100 credits and doesn't require a credit card.

Informatica

Informatica is a broader data management vendor. Its Address Verification product, built on Address Doctor, validates and standardizes addresses across CRM and non-CRM systems alike. Informatica markets it as a leading solution for certified international address validation, a claim that comes from Informatica itself and is worth checking against your own requirements rather than taking at face value.

Features

  • Worldwide address verification: Supports address data for 240 countries.
  • Real-time verification: Validates addresses as they're entered, similar to Plauti's live validation.
  • Transliteration and character set mapping: Supports 40 character sets for international text.
  • Data enrichment: Adds geocodes and demographic data to records.

Pros

  • Global certification: Holds postal certifications that Plauti does not claim.
  • Data enrichment depth: Adds geocoding and demographic detail beyond address correction.

Cons

  • Integration takes more scoping: Informatica's AppExchange listing for Salesforce is called "Informatica Customer 360 for Salesforce," and its address-validation features aren't broken out separately from the rest of that bundle. Working out what's actually included for address validation means reading through DaaS documentation and "CC360 settings" pages, or talking to an Informatica rep directly.

Pricing

Informatica doesn't publish pricing for Address Verification directly; getting a quote means contacting sales. Its AppExchange listing for Informatica Customer 360 shows a Base Edition starting at $875 for 1,000 records. The listing doesn't say whether that price is monthly or annual.

How Plauti and Informatica compare

Salesforce integration

Plauti is built for Salesforce specifically, so it maps to standard address fields without extra configuration. Informatica supports a wider range of systems beyond Salesforce, which helps if your address data also lives outside Salesforce, but means more setup work to get it running inside a Salesforce org. Which one costs you less setup time depends on how much of your stack already sits outside Salesforce.

User seats and live validation

Plauti includes unlimited user seats, so any rep can validate and correct addresses wherever they get entered, not just a designated data team. Informatica offers real-time verification too, but Plauti's live validation runs as a Lightning component on any Salesforce record page, without a separate integration step for each page it appears on.

Conclusion

Which tool fits depends on where your address data lives. If Salesforce is your system of record and you want address validation built into it directly, Plauti's native integration and unlimited seats make it the simpler setup to run. If your address data also lives outside Salesforce, in a data warehouse, another CRM, or a marketing platform, Informatica's broader certification and integration options may cover more ground, though getting it running inside Salesforce takes more setup work.

Informatica's AppExchange listing for Salesforce, "Informatica Customer 360 for Salesforce," doesn't map cleanly onto the address-validation features listed on its own website. Get a demo scoped to Salesforce specifically before comparing the two on price.
